The odds for the BCS title game between Florida State and Auburn have now been released by some of the major Las Vegas sports books.

As of right now, Florida State is an 8 1/2 point favorite to win on Monday, January 6th, 2014. Here are the current betting odds:

Auburn, +8 1/2, -115
Florida State, -8 1/2, -105

So, if you wanted Auburn plus the points, a successful $115 wager would return a total profit of $100.

If you wanted to back Florida State -8 1/2, on the other hand, a successful $105 wager would yield a total return of $100.

Florida State finished their season with a perfect 13-0 record (8-0 in their conference) to finish as the nation's #1 seeded team. Florida State was led by Jameis Winston, who compiled a QB rating of 190.1 en route to winning this season's Heisman trophy in a landslide.

Auburn, on the other hand, finished their season with a record of 12-1, including a 7-1 record in conference play. Auburn earned their way into the BCS Title game with a miraculous victory over Alabama at the end of the season. Alabama attempted a very long field goal on the last play of the game, which Auburn returned for a touchdown.

If the line for this game moves substantially over the next couple of weeks, we will update it here. The money line and over/under odds for this contest haven't been released as of yet.
