There is a big boxing match in the making between a legend and an up-and-comer. Earlier this week, Manny Pacquiao announced that his next opponent would be Errol Spence Jr., with the two men expected to step into the ring against each other on Saturday, August 21st.

Pacquiao has never shied away from top-level competition, and Spence Jr. is going to look to give "Pac Man" all that he can handle and more.

Errol Spence Jr. is a perfect 27-0-0 and is widely considered to be the second best Welterweight in the world. Spence Jr., who is 31 years of age, fights in the southpaw stance and has recent wins over the likes of Danny Garcia, Shawn Porter and Mikey Garcia.

Manny Pacquiao is a legend of the sport. Over his career, Pacquiao has a record of 62-7-2, including a loss in the biggest fight of all time against Floyd Mayweather.

Pacquiao has wins in three straight fights (Thurman, Broner and Matthysse), though it will have been over two years between fights by the time that he steps into the ring against Spence Jr.

Can Pacquiao fend off "Father Time" and defeat a top-level opponent in the form of Errol Spence Jr.?

The bookmakers believe that Pacquiao is going to have a very tough challenge on August 21st, as evidenced by the opening odds for the bout:

If this fight had taken place five years ago, Pacquiao would have been the favourite to win.

Pacquiao has been inactive as of late, and that is trouble for somebody who is in their 40s and has so much wear on their tires.

Can Pacquiao shock the world on August 21st, or will Spence Jr. notch the biggest win of his career?
