Egypt and Uruguay will open their quests for the World Cup on Friday, June 15th. This will be the final Group A opening match, with Russia vs Saudi Arabia taking place the previous day.
Uruguay has its eyes on advancing through to the next round, and they will certainly have the talent advantage, as they will field the likes of Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez. Uruguay will need Suarez to remain calm throughout the extent of their World Cup run if they want to have a chance of advancing to the deeper rounds.
Egypt, on the other hand, will be looking to play spoiler. A surprise victory for the Egyptian side and they would stand a decent chance of moving to the next round of play, which would be a mammoth accomplishment for their side.

Here are the two likeliest scores of the contest according to Bet365:
Uruguay 1-0, 9/2
Draw 0-0, 13/2
Uruguay has some championship pedigree, as they are multiple time winners of the tournament, having won the World Cup in both 1930 (victory over Argentina) and 1950 (victory over Brazil).
There is no doubt that the likes of Germany, Brazil and France have passed Uruguay in terms of overall talent levels, though Uruguay is still able to put out two of the most talented and skilled players in the world in the form of Suarez and Cavani.
As mentioned, Uruguay will need Suarez to be on his best behavior this year if they want a chance at progressing far in the tournament. A strong showing against Egypt is very much needed for Uruguay in this game, while Egypt will be looking to play the role of spoiler.
