The UEFA Champions League quarter-finals draw was held earlier today at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, with the help of the Ukrainian football legend Andriy Shevchenko.
At this level of the competition there is no more country protection, which means that the teams from the same nation can face one another. And this is exactly what happened as we have Liverpool facing Manchester City for the first time in a European competition.
Here are the four quarter-finals matchups:
Barcelona v Roma
Sevilla v Bayern Munich
Juventus v Real Madrid
Liverpool v Manchester City

Last year's final, which featured Real Madrid and Juventus, will be replayed twice. This is arguably the highest caliber matchup out of the four, with Real Madrid being the favourites to advance. Barcelona are the favourites to get through Roma, Bayern to get past Sevilla and Man City to edge out Liverpool.
The odds to get through to the semi-finals for each matchup are:

Barcelona are the favourites to win this year's Champions League and that is hardly a surprise considering the form Lionel Messi is in. It helps that the draw was relatively kind to them also.
The first legs of the quarter-finals will be played on April 3rd and 4th, while the second legs are scheduled for the following week on April 10th and 11th.
The semi-finals take place on April 24/25 and May 1/2.
The final will be played in Kyiv, Ukraine, on Saturday May 26th at the NSC Olimpiyskyi stadium.
