What a wonderful week of Champions League football we just had. The first legs of the quarter-finals fulfilled every expectation. There were plenty of goals and drama that left fans from around the world salivating for more.
On Tuesday we witnessed the amazing Cristiano Ronaldo in action for Real Madrid in the 0-3 away victory against Juventus and the thorough Bayern Munich winning 1-2 in Seville. On Wednesday, Mohamed Salah and Liverpool FC stole the show in a remarkable 3-0 victory vs. Manchester City, while Barcelona FC did their job in a 4-1 win vs. AS Roma, who, to be fair, got a bit unlucky with two own goals.
We do not have to wait long for the return legs as they take place on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. According to the betting odds, the four semi-finalists are already known. But in this amazing game of football we just can never be sure.
Here are the odds to progress to the semi-finals for each of the four matchups:

The only game not completely written off by the oddsmakers is Manchester City vs. Liverpool. Manchester City are capable of playing very dominant, possession based, football, especially at home, scoring many goals in the process. Liverpool, on the other hand, are a side that can accomplish amazing feats with the momentum on their side, but also known to slip (no pun intended) when the wind is taken out of their sails. One only has to look as far as this season's Champions League group stage, when the Reds had a 0-3 half time lead away at Sevilla, only to let their opponents turn things around and equalize before the final whistle.
Does Sevilla stand a chance in Munich? Can Roma beat Barcelona 4-0 at home? Can Juventus come to the Bernabeu and put four goals past Keylor Navas? Not a chance, say the bookies.
Let's see how it all plays out. Enjoy the games everyone!
