The British Masters is set to be played at the Walton Heath Golf Club at Walton-on-the-Hill this weekend. The tournament, which was started in 1946, will feature three million pounds in total prize money. Recent winners of the event have included Matthew Fitzpatrick, Alex Noren and Paul Dunne.
The course is a par 72 with a length of 7,394 yards. Seeing as how the tournament is played in October in England, weather can be a fairly significant factor in the event.
While many of golf's biggest names have largely packed it in for the year and are now off doing appearances and other big-money events, there are still some significant names in this tournament, including the likes of Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood and Thorbjorn Olesen. There is some significant money to be won, so you can bet that these players will all be bringing their best games.
The weather this weekend is currently calling for rain on Thursday and Friday, followed by unsettled (but mostly nice) weather on Saturday and Sunday.
