Bayern Munich 1.05 Favourites To Defeat Darmstadt on Tuesday

It's a pretty hectic time for teams like Bayern Munich right now, as they have to think about league play, Champions League and smaller tournaments like the DFB Cup.

The DFB Cup is set to continue later today with a number of games, including one involving one of the world's biggest football clubs, Bayern Munich.

There will certainly be a "David vs Goliath" element to Tuesday's match between Bayern Munich and Darmstadt, as Bayern Munich will be playing host to the outmatched team. Not only will Darmstadt have to contend with one of the world's most talented football clubs, but they'll have to do so on Bayern Munich's home soil.

As you probably already knew, Bayern Munich is a massive favourite to win on Tuesday - let's look at the odds:

Bayern Munich, 1.05
Draw, 11.00
Darmstadt, 26.00

According to these odds, a successful $100 wager on Bayern Munich would return a measly $5, while a successful $100 wager on Darmstadt would return a total profit of $2,500.

Sure, Bayern Munich will likely be taking it easy on a number of their biggest players, though their back-ups would likely take Darmstadt's starters, so it is certainly not an advisable wager.

Bayern Munich has won the DFB Cup a total of 17 times, far more than the next best side, Werder Bremen. They will be looking for a measure of revenge this year, however, as VfL Wolfsburg captured the title last season.

Darmstadt, on the other hand, has never won the cup, and likely won't this year either.

According to the bookmakers, the likeliest outcome of Tuesday's game is a 3-0 win for Bayern Munich, which is currently trading for 5.50 on William Hill.
