Massive Match Set To Send EPL Into Christmas

A massive match between Arsenal and Man City is set to have major ramifications on the top of the league. The game is set to take place on Monday evening in Arsenal.

With Leicester City having already won on Saturday, the top of the table looks like this:

Leicester City, 38 points
Arsenal, 33 points
Man City, 32 points

A draw or loss for both Arsenal and Man City would be devastating, as Leicester City would enjoy a minimum of a four point lead in the table if either of these results take place. A win for either team and they could keep Leicester City in their sights, though a loss would be catastrophic.

Arsenal has been decent at home so far this year, collecting 14 points over a total of 7 games. Man City, on the other hand, has been lackluster on the road, collecting just 11 points over a total of 7 games.

Arsenal has won their last two games in a row, while Man City has won two of their last three. Both teams are looking to generate some much needed momentum as we head into the New Year.

The last meeting between these two teams came on January 18th, 2015, when Arsenal defeated Man City 2-0 on the road.

Here are the odds heading into Monday's match:

Arsenal, 2.40
Draw, 3.40
Man City, 3.10

Arsenal has the slight edge to win, though the bookmakers believe that any of the three outcomes have a fairly good chance of taking place.

According to the bookmakers, the likeliest outcome of Monday's match is a 1-1 draw, which is currently trading for 7.50 on William Hill.

This is a fantastic early Christmas treat for football fans, as both teams desperately need to win this game. Who do you think will come out on top?
