Golf Tournament - Championship - Closeup of a ball on the course. The 2019 PGA Championship is set to begin on Thursday, May 16th.

This year's tournament will be taking place at the Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, New York. This is a Par 71 course that is 7,468 yards in length.

This is a stroke play event that has a total prize pool of $11 million, and the tournament is one of the four Major events, along with the Masters, US Open and Open Championship.

Tiger Woods is coming off of his first major win in over a decade and is one of the favourites to win heading into May 16th. Much to the delight of golf fans around the world, Tiger has resurrected his game following personal issues and injuries, and is once again one of the very best players in the game. Tiger has been playing very well for over six months now, and he is going to be tough to beat given his positive momentum.

Dustin Johnson is a co-favourite to win the event, which is no surprise given his strong finish at the Masters a few weeks ago. Dustin Johnson is one of the most consistent players on the tour and will likely be hovering near the top of the leaderboard heading into the weekend.

Rory McIlroy is also one of the favourites to win, while defending champion Brooks Koepka is near the top of the favourites to win as well.
