Tua Tagovailoa, Trevor Lawrence Currently Lead Heisman Trophy Race

When the 2019/20 college football season gets underway in the summer, Alabama and Clemson will be the top two ranked teams in the country, and for good reason.

After all, Clemson and Alabama have both won two college football titles over the past four years and there is no reason to think that anything will change anytime soon.

The biggest reason? Both of the team's starting QBs - Tua Tagovailoa and Trevor Lawrence - will be returning to their respective teams this year.

As a matter of fact, Lawrence, who turned in a stunning performance in last season's college football championship, can't leave for the NFL for two more seasons. Tagovailoa, on the other hand, will almost certainly declare at the end of this season and will likely be a top pick in the NFL.

Quarterbacks usually win the Heisman Trophy award, so it is no surprise that Tagovailoa and Lawrence are the two favourites to win this upcoming season.

If you believe that either Alabama or Clemson will finish as the #1 ranked college football team this season, taking either Tagovailoa or Lawrence is a pretty safe bet.

Other interesting possibilities include Jalen Hurts at Oklahoma (+1200) and Jonathan Taylor at Wisconsin (+1400). Jalen Hurts is especially compelling, as the former Alabama player is transferring to a program that has helped mold the likes of Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray. Hurts is likely going to be playing with a chip on his shoulder this season after losing the starting job at Alabama, so he is certainly a compelling value play.
