Miroslav Klose was one of the best poachers the game has seen. He was strong, quick and had excellent timing. He was always at the right place to put the ball in the back of the net with his head or his foot.

Miroslav, or "Miro" as he was called, played his club football at Werder Bremen, Bayern Munich and Lazio. But he saved his best performances for his nation of Germany and is the country's record goal scorer. He represented Germany at four World Cups, scoring 16 goals, which is one more than Brazilian Ronaldo scored during his time. Klose often celebrated his goals with a somersault and earned the nickname "Salto-Klose" because of it. In 2006, he was the Golden Boot winner as well as the footballer of the year in Germany.
