Sports Nicknames - LewanGOALski, The Body, Lewy

Robert Lewandowski might just be the greatest striker of the last decade. He has spent so long playing in the Bundesliga and consistently scoring so many goals that his current teammate Thomas Muller made a joke at a press conference that they had Robert "LewanGOALski". While the joke might've landed flat, Leweandowski's goals certainly do not.

The Polish striker first broke into the spotlight at Borussia Dortmund, winning 2 consecutive Bundesliga titles and being top scorer in the 2013-14 season. At the end of that season, he let his contract expire in order to move to Bayern Munich.

Ever since then, he has broken all sorts of records at the Bavarian giants. Of particular note was when he scored 5 goals as a substitute in 8 minutes and 59 seconds in 2015.

LewanGOALski is currently scoring goals for Barcelona FC.

On the international stage, Lewandowski has continued to be successful on an individual level, although Poland has failed to achieve anything of note. Now Poland's all-time leading goalscorer, his goals don't look to be surpassed anytime soon.

A lethal finisher with both feet and his head, Lewandowski is perhaps the most modern version of a traditional "number 9" forward. There's a reason he's considered one of the best forwards of the modern era and might even be remembered as one of the best ever.
