Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is one of the greatest centers in NBA history known as the all-time leading scorer with 38,387 career points. He is remembered for his trademark skyhook shot which was unguardable during his career. Since his retirement in 1989, at the age of 42, no one has even come close to his record.

Nicknamed "The Captain", Abdul-Jabbar spent 20 years in the NBA playing for the Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Lakers. Both teams have retired his jersey with the number 33 as well as his college the UCLA.

He won 6 NBA Championships, one with the Bucks and five with LA and earned two Finals MVP Awards. He is a 19-time NBA All-Star.

After the 1988-89 season, Abdul-Jabbar retired. At his last NBA game, all of his teammates went out on the court wearing his trademark goggles.
