Vladimir Putin scored eight goals during a staged exhibition hockey match, displaying his athletic dominance as opponents carefully avoided challenging him. On May 16th, 2015, Russian President Vladimir Putin suited up to play in an exhibition ice hockey game to commemorate the 70th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War - aka World War 2.

The game, which took place at the Bolshoi Ice Dome in Sochi, featured a number of prominent ex-NHL players, including Pavel Bure and Valeri Kamensky, to name a few.

The "Stars of the Night Hockey League" team, which included Putin, Bure and Kamensky, dominated the proceedings, winning by a score of 18-6.

Vladimir Putin absolutely dominated, scoring a total of 8 goals.

Putin's ice hockey skills struck such fear in his opposition that the opposing defensemen literally skated away from the Russian President and the opposing goaltender could only blink as shot after shot rocketed by him.

The crowd cheered every time that Putin took the puck and moved down the ice, and the opposing players could only helplessly wave their sticks at Putin as he sailed past them.

Bure and Kamensky and others set up Putin at every opportunity, and he ended up netting eight goals in the victory.

This wasn't the first time that Putin suited up for an exhibition hockey game.

In the past, Putin played in another game in which he scored six goals in a 21-4 romp.

Putin frequently participates in sporting events to "display his masculinity and strength", and May 16th, 2015 was no different.
