Champions / Europa League Semi-Finals - Odds

The UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League logos - 2015/16 seasonWe are nearing the conclusion of the 2015/16 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League seasons. The remaining teams in the competitions are Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Manchester City in the Champions League and Sevilla, Shakhtar, Liverpool and Villarreal in the Europa League.

Here we take a look at the odds for winning each matchup as well as the odds to go all the way and win the tournaments.

Let's start with Champions League:

Manchester City: 2/1
Real Madrid: 4/11

While Man City are not having their best season on the domestic front, they are in unchartered territory in the Champions League. The club has never made it as far as they have this season and it will be interesting to see how Joe Hart, Sergio Aguero, Kevin de Bruyne and company (no pun intended) handle the pressure against the biggest club in the world.

Real Madrid are a bit fortunate to find themselves this far in the tournament and have only Cristiano Ronaldo to thank for digging them out of the hole in their last match against Wolfsburg. Under the management of legendary ex player Zinedine Zidane, who took over a few months ago, Los Blancos have been either ice cold or red hot. Let' see which side shows up against City.

Atletico Madrid: 13/8
Bayern Munich: 4/9

Atletico Madrid are one of the best defensive teams in the world the last few years and are well deserving of a place in the semi-finals. Diego Simeone's team eliminated Barcelona FC in the last round, which speaks volumes of their ability to go all the way this season.

Bayern Munich are the favourites to win this year's tournament. Even though they have not impressed as of lately, Pep Guardiola's team have the experience and the know-how to finish the job. The Bavarian side have the advantage of playing the second leg match in front of their own fans at the Allianz Arena.

Odds to win the tournament:

Bayern Munich: 6/4
Real Madrid: 15/8
Atletico Madrid: 7/2
Manchester City: 15/2

Europa League - Odds to qualify for the final:

Villarreal: 6/4
Liverpool: 1/2

Shakhtar: 13/8
Sevilla: 4/9

The stakes are high in the Europa League as the tournament winner is granted direct placement in the UEFA Champions League the following season. If you have been lucky enough to catch Liverpool eliminate Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-finals of the tournament, you will know that Europa League can be, and often is, just as exciting as the Champions League.

Odds to win the tournament:

Liverpool: 13/8
Sevilla: 15/8
Villarreal: 7/2
Shakhtar: 6/1

The first leg matches of the Champions League will be played on April 26th and 27th, while the return legs are to be played on May 3rd and 4th.

The Europa League semis are set to be played on April 28th and May 5th.
