On Saturday, December 3rd, Miguel Angel "Junito" Cotto will be battling Antonio "The Express Train" Margarito for the WBA Super World Light Middleweight Championship at Madison Square Garden in New York.

If you were looking to throw some money down on the fight, you came to the right place.

Let's take a look at the current betting odds for the fight:

Cotto, -205

Margarito, +165

As far as main event boxing odds go, this is a pretty close matchup (especially when compared to Pacquiao and Mayweather fights).

The Over/Under line is currently set at 10 1/2, with the Over going for -140 and the Under going for EVEN. This means that Las Vegas oddsmakers believe that the fight stands a great chance of going the distance. If you take the Over, then you would need to put down $140 in order to win $100 back.

Miguel Angel Cotto currently has a lifetime record of 36-2-0. Cotto's two losses came at the hands of Margarito (TKO loss in 2008) and Manny Pacquiao (TKO loss). Cotto's last fight was a TKO victory over Ricardo Mayorga in March of 2011.

The controversial Antonio Margarito currently has a professional record of 38-7-1. Margarito has lost 2 out of his last 3 fights, including a decision loss to Manny Pacquiao in November of 2010 and a TKO loss to Shane Mosley in January of 2009.

Margarito is likely best known for having tampered with his gloves before his match with Shane Mosley. The CSAC found that Margarito's hand wraps contained sulphur and calcium, which, when combined with oxygen, forms Plaster of Paris.

After a number of completely lopsided big money fights, boxing is finally getting a high profile match-up that is actually pretty close on paper.

Can Cotto avenge his 2008 loss to Margarito? We'll soon find out.
