Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez Betting Odds
Published on September 26th, 2011 2:55 pm ESTOn November 12th, 2011, Manny "Pac Man" Pacquiao will take on Juan Manuel Marquez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
An expected win for Pacquiao will hopefully set up the long-awaited showdown against Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. That match-up hasn't happened as of yet due to a myriad of different reasons, but many people believe that the deal will finally get deal if Pacquiao beats Marquez on the 12th of November.
As you can probably imagine, Pacquiao is a massive favorite over Marquez. Here are the current betting odds as of this second:
Pacquiao, -800
Marquez, +500
This means that you would have to bet $800 on Pacquiao in order to win $100 back, whereas a $100 bet on Marquez would result in a profit of $500 if he managed to pull off the unlikely win.
The Over/Under for this fight is currently set at 10 1/2 rounds:
Over Rounds, +110
Under Rounds, -150
This means that oddsmakers believe that there is more than a 50/50 chance of this fighting ending early.
Manny Pacquiao currently possesses a record of 53-3-2. Pacquiao hasn't lost since March of 2005, when he dropped a decision to Erik Morales. Pacquiao would later avenge his loss to Morales, not once, but twice.
Pacquiao is currently by most to be the top pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
Juan Manuel Marquez currently has a record of 53-5-1 with 39 knockouts. Marquez is on a three fight winning streak since dropping a decision to Mayweather Jr. in September of 2009. Marquez is 38 years old.
Marquez is half an inch taller than Pacquiao, and both fighters have identical 67 inch reaches.
