The World Series of Poker main event, which started with over 7,000 entries, has now been boiled down to just 9 men.

When the final table gets underway on Thursday afternoon in Las Vegas, Scott Blumstein will be the chip leader, as he finished Monday with a stack of nearly 100 million chips.

Following closely behind Blumstein will be John Hesp, who managed to finish Day 7 with a very healthy stack of over 85 million in chips. After Hesp, there is a significant drop-off to the next group of players, as Benjamin Pollak finished Day 7 with 35.175 million in chips, which is good for third place.

Here are the chip stacks heading into the final days of play on Thursday and Friday:

Scott Blumstein, 97,250,000
John Hesp, 85,700,000
Benjamin Pollak, 35,175,000
Bryan Piccioli, 33,800,000
Dan Ott, 26,475,000
Damian Salas, 22,175,000
Antoine Saout, 21,750,000
Jack Sinclair, 20,200,000
Ben Lamb, 18,050,000

-

Unsurprisingly, Blumstein is the betting favourite to win the main event, as he is currently listed at around 2/1 to win at most online sports books.

Ben Lamb has proven to be an early favourite amongst punters, as he is 10/1 to win despite having the tournament's shortest stack. Lamb has a great deal of experience and has played at a WSOP main event final table in the past.
