Zlatan Ibrahimovic Signs New 4-Year Boot Deal With Nike

Dare to Zlatan marketing campaign logo - NikeAfter wearing blackout boots for nine months, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has signed a new €2.5m / year deal with sports manufacturer Nike set to run until 2019.

Ibrahimovic wore the Nike Mercurial Vapor 10 boots playing for Sweden in the Euro Cup 2016 qualifying game vs. Montenegro last weekend, which was his first outing in branded boots since November 2014 when his previous contract with Nike expired. He scored two goals in that game.

In the last few months, while presumably negotiating a new sponsorship deal and hearing out other suitors (Adidas and Puma), Zlatan briefly played with blacked out adidas F50 adizero boots fueling speculation of an impending deal.

Ibra did not seem to like the F50 adizeros so much and he was spotted changing into Mercurial Vapor X boots during PSG's 2-2 draw with Caen in mid February.

The new four-year deal is a nice addition to Zlatan's current €15m / year salary at Paris Saint-Germain.

The 'Dare to Zlatan' marketing campaign was legendary and we look forward to seeing more of the same from Nike and one of the biggest personalities in the game of football.
