Game Preview: Galatasaray vs. Juventus - UEFA Champions League - 10/12/2013

UEFA Champions League Match - Galatasaray vs. Juventus - Team LogosThe Turkish champions, Galatasaray, will host the Italian champions, Juventus, in a deciding UEFA Champions League Group B match on Tuesday, December 10th, 2013 at the Turk Telekom Arena in Istanbul.

If they can manage a win in front of their own fans, Galatasaray will advance to the round of sixteen. If Juventus win, or if there is a draw, Gianluigi Buffon and his teammates will advance instead.

Galatasaray are struggling this year in the Turkish Super Lig. They are in fourth place, twelve points (with one game less played) behind first place Fenerbahce. Same story in the Champions League. After a 1-0 loss to Kobenhavn, Galatasaray most recently lost 4-1 to a ten men Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu. Galatasaray can be a dangerous side though and they proved that on their visit to Turin in October, when they drew with Juventus 2-2.

Juventus are in good form at the moment. They are without their playmaker Andreas Pirlo due to injury, but Juve are winning games and have reclaimed the number one spot in Serie A with seven consecutive victories. In their last two Champions League matches, the Old Lady drew 2-2 with Real Madrid at home and most recently beat Kobenhavn 3-1, also at home.

The atmosphere at the Turk Telekom Arena on Tuesday should be electric.

Let's take a look at the odds:

Galatasaray: 11/4
Draw: 13/5
Juventus: 10/11

Juventus are the favourites to win. A 100 € bet on Juve could return 90 € in profit, while the same bet on Gala could return 275 € in profit.

The most likely score, according to the odds, is a 1-1 draw, offered at 6/1.

Carlos Tevez (6/4) and Fernando Llorente (13/8) are the favourites to score for the guests, while Burak Yilmaz (2/1) and Didier Drogba (21/10) are the favourites to score for the home side.

Should be a great game. The one to watch on Tuesday for sure!
