Manuel Neuer and Bayern Munich Extend Contract Until Year 2021

Arguably the world's best goalkeeper, the German international, Manuel Neuer, extended his contract with Bayern Munich until 2021 earlier this week. According to the reports, he will be earning in the area of €15m per year during that time.

Manuel Neuer joined Bayern Munich in 2011 from Schalke and has since won three Bundesliga titles, two German cups and one Champions League title with the club. Neuer also won the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil with the German national team. This year, Bayern are on course for another treble, while Germany are one of the favourites to win the upcoming Euro Cup 2016 in France.

Manuel Neuer is 30 years old at the moment, which for a goalkeeper is still a fairly young age. We look forward to watching him in action next week against the likes of Antoine Griezmann and Fernando Torres of Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
