Odds for the FIFA Ballon d'Od Male Player of the Year 2013

The winner of the FIFA Ballon d'Or 2013 award, for the best footballer of the year, will be announced on January 13th, 2014 at the Zurich Kongresshaus. The award is based on votes by coaches and captains of international teams. The shortlist of players eligible for the award will be announced on October 29th, 2013.

Considering that Lionel Messi of Barcelona FC won the prestigious award four times in the last four years, it is no surprise to see him at the top of the list again this year.

Franck Ribery had an outstanding season with Bayern Munich. Maybe the UEFA Champions League, German Bundesliga and German Cup winner is deserving of the award this year?

It will be interesting to see who gets the votes.
