England vs. Brazil - International Friendly - Game Odds

Update: Final Score - England vs. Brazil 2-1

--

On Wednesday, February 6th, 2013, as part of the English Football Association's 150th anniversary celebration, England are hosts to Brazil in a glamour friendly game at Wembley Stadium in London. This is a repeat of the friendly that marked the opening of new Wembley back in 2007 when the score was 1-1.

In the upcoming match, England and Brazil players will wear black armbands in commemoration of the Munich air disaster anniversary and to remember the lives lost in the recent nightclub tragedy in Santa Maria, Brazil.

This should be a special match.

Brazil are the favourites.

England 2/1
Draw 9/4
Brazil 11/8

This means that a $100 wager on England would bring in a total of $300 while the same wager on Brazil would bring in $238.

In their last two friendlies, England beat Italy 2-1 on August 15th, 2012 and lost to Sweden 4-2 on November 14th, 2012.

In the World Cup Qualifiers in Group H, England tied Poland last 1-1 in October in Warsaw after beating San Marino 5-0 at home. The month before, England tied Ukraine at home 1-1 and beat Moldova 0-5. England are in 2nd place at the moment behind Montenegro who they play on March 26th, 2013 and then again in October.

As the hosts of the 2014 World Cup, Brazil are automatically qualified and all they have done lately are some friendlies. Brazil tied Argentina 1-1 in November 2012, a week after hosting Colombia when the score was also 1-1. In October 2012, Brazil beat Japan 0-4.

England will be without Defoe and Carrick due to injuries while it is reported that Ronaldinho, the two-time world footballer of the year, has been named in Brazil's 20-man squad. The QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar is also back. Luis Felipe Scolari, who led Brazil to their 2002 World Cup title has returned as Brazil's coach in November of last year.

This will be a great game.
