Barcelona FC Revenues and Expenses in the 2012/13 Season

The numbers in brackets are figures from the 2011/12 season.

Revenue: 491 million € (487 million €)

- Marketing: 172 million € (167 m €)
- Media: 162 million € (160 m €)
- Stadium: 126 million € (129 m €)
- Memberships: 20 million € (20 m €)
- Other: 11 million € (19 m €)

Please note that other income includes profit from player sales etc.

Expenses: 443 million € (441 m €)

- Sporting Salaries: 245 million € (237 m €)
- Management Costs: 96 million € (101 m €)
- Player Amortization: 60 million € (61 m €)
- Non-sporting Salaries: 31 million € (31 m €)
- Other: 11 million € (11 m €)

It is reported that Barcelona FC has set a target wages vs. revenue ratio of between 55% and 70%, which is in line with the UEFA Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.

Profit After Tax: 32 million € (49 m €)

Debt: 331 million € (334 m €)

- Bank Debt 104 million € (136 m €)

The debt formula is (bank debt + creditors - debtors - cash + installment due debt)

The creditor debt includes the purchase of Neymar for 57 million €.

A huge topic at the club is the stadium. Barcelona FC are planning to either renovate and expand the current Camp Nou stadium, build a new stadium on the current ground or build a brand new stadium at a new location. The project is set to start once the club debt level reaches 200 million €. It is estimated that the club could increase revenue by 25 million € by either modernizing the current stadium or by building a new one.

After many years of debt, Barcelona are doing well financially.
