Game Preview: Arsenal vs. Southampton - English Premier League - 23/11/2013

First place Arsenal are hosts to third place Southampton in the twelfth round of the English Premier League on Saturday, November 23rd, 2013 at the Emirates Stadium in London.

Before the international break, Arsenal ended their nine match unbeaten run with a 1-0 loss at Old Trafford vs. Manchester United. Just a few days before that, they beat Borussia Dortmund 1-0 in an epic UEFA Champions League group match. Theo Walcott is set to return for the Gunners on Saturday after recovering from an abdominal injury. Arsenal have not lost to Southampton at home since 1987. Last season they beat them 6-1.

Southampton have only lost one match this season and have conceded only five goals in eleven games so far, less than any other club in the league. If they managed a win vs. Arsenal on Saturday, Southampton could climb to the very top of the tables. The Saints are unbeaten in the last eight matches and most recently they beat Hull City 4-1 at home.
