Definition of TE-Premium

What does the term "TE-Premium" mean in the world of fantasy football? What is meant by "TE-Premium"?

"TE-Premium" is a method of scoring in fantasy football that is meant to increase the importance of the tight end position.

"TE-Premium" usually involves giving tight ends a scoring adjustment, such as adding an extra 0.5 points per reception, or adding another point or two for a touchdown reception.

For instance, if you are playing in a 0.5 PPR league with a "TE-Premium" scoring adjustment of +0.5 points per catch for a tight end, a tight end would receive 1.0 points per reception, while every other type of player would receive just 0.5 points.

This scoring adjustment is meant to increase the importance of the tight end position.

After the top two or three tight ends in the league, there is usually a major, major dropoff to the next player.

Some leagues will get rid of the tight end position altogether, choosing instead to make it a flex spot.

If you are intent on keeping tight ends, you might want to consider implementing "TE-Premium" scoring.
