Phil Foden is one of the most exciting young English football prospects on the world stage at the moment. Coming through the youth ranks of Manchester City and now being regularly used by Pep Guardiola, Foden has had success that most footballers dream of at the age of 20.

Foden is a Manchester City player through-and-through, having played for the club since the age of 4. It took until the 2017-18 season for him to get a spot in City's star-filled squad, however. That season he broke a multitude of "youngest player" awards, with the highlight coming from the youngest player to receive a Premier League winners medal.

Ever since, Foden has had an increasingly important role for the City side, especially under Pep Guardiola. He has helped the club win 2 PL titles already, with a third on the way for the 2020-21 season. He has also won the EFL cup every season he's been in the first team, along with an FA Cup in 2018-19. Manchester City are also able to still win this season's Champions League, with Foden having scored in both legs of the quarter-finals against Borussia Dortmund.

Foden is highly regarded by English fans, having made his debut against Iceland for the UEFA Nations League tournament. His close friends gave him the nickname "Ronnie", but Gary Lineker gave him the nickname "Filth Foden" after his good performances for City.

Phil Foden is most certainly an appealing player. Together with Mason Mount, Jack Grealish and Mason Greenwood, England might just have one of the most exciting attacking groups over the next few years.
