The King George VI Chase is run every December (Boxing Day) at Kempton Park in Sunbury, England.

The event, which has a total prize pool of £250,000, is run over a distance of 4,828 metres and is open to horses aged four years and older. There are also 18 jumps that are a part of the race.

The race first started in 1937 and is now part of the 32Red Winter Festival.

The King George VI Chase is not restricted to horses of a certain age, which means that there can be multiple winners of the event. Fourteen horses have won the event more than once over the history of the race, with Kauto Star having won five times to set the all-time record.

The most recent winner of the race (2018) was Clan des Obeaux, which was ridden by Harry Cobden and trained by Paul Nicholls.
