The next Canelo Alvarez fight is reporting still in the planning stages, though it looks more and more as though his next opponent will be Jermall Charlo.
The date of the fight is reportedly still up in the air, though it looks as though promoters are targeting the first half of September.
Canelo has opened as the favorite - here are the betting odds as of this moment, courtesy of a major US sportsbook:

As you can see, Alvarez is a favorite, though the odds are certainly fairly close.

Canelo enters this fight with a record of 59-2-2, with a total of 39 knockouts.
After losing to Dmitrii Bivol in May of 2022, Alvarez has bounced back with wins over Gennadiy Golovkin and John Ryder. The fight against GGG was close, though Canelo thoroughly outclassed John Ryder.
Jermall Charlo, on the other hand, has a perfect record of 32-0-0, with 22 of his wins coming via knockout.
Charlo hasn't fought since June of 2021, when he defeated Juan Macias Montiel via unanimous decision.
Charlo has been fairly inactive over the past number of years, as he has only fought twice since the start of 2020.

Charlo, however, is a very gifted fighter, and even with his time off will be a real threat against Canelo.
