Tahiti Attempts To Avenge Their Finals Loss in Last FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup

32 teams have now been boiled down to just two, as Tahiti is set to take on Brazil in the finals of the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in the Bahamas.

Brazil had an easy time of things on Saturday, as they trounced Italy 8-4 to move to the finals. Tahiti, on the other hand, needed penalties to get by a very game Iranian side.

These results mean that Tahiti now has a chance to avenge their loss to Portugal in the 2015 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup final. Tahiti lost that match by a score of 5-3 and will be looking for a better result on Sunday.

Odds for the final match haven't been released as of yet, though you would have to think that the Brazilian side will be the favourites to win, based on the strength of their outing on Saturday against Italy. Brazil will be leaning heavily on the tandem of Rodrigo and Catarino to put them through to a title on Sunday.

Brazil is the most successful nation in the history of the tournament, as they have won four times since the tournament was rebranded in 2005. They have a number of powerful offensive weapons on their club and will be tough to beat.

Tahiti, on the other hand, plays a scrappy brand of soccer that barely got them past the side from Iran. Tahiti will need to stop the Brazilian offensive attack if they want to have any chance of winning on Sunday. Getting into a shootout is likely not going to end well for the Tahitian side.

Brazil vs Tahiti should be a very exciting match on Sunday - can Brazil win yet another FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup title, or will Tahiti pull off the upset?
