One thing is for sure - fans would LOVE to see a US Open Men's Final that pits Roger Federer against Novak Djokovic. Nothing against Gael Monfils or Kei Nishikori, but Federer vs Djokovic ticks many boxes when it comes to a compelling final - you have Federer, who is in the twilight of his career, battling against the world's #1 player. You have two of the biggest names in tennis squaring off on one of the game's biggest stages.

There is work to be done for that final to happen, however, as both Federer and Djokovic have semi-final matches coming up today and tomorrow. Federer will be squaring off against Gael Monfils, while Djokovic will be battling Kei Nishikori.

Here are the current betting odds for both matches:

Gael Monfils, 4.00
Roger Federer, 1.25

Novak Djokovic, 1.12
Kei Nishikori, 5.50

As you can see, both Federer and Djokovic are substantial favourites to win, though Monfils and Nishikori will be doing their best to spoil the party.

Roger Federer has had an incredible season so far this year as he has moved all the way up to #3 in the world behind Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. With names such as Stan Wawrinka and Andy Murray falling off in the second half of this season, Roger Federer has established himself as the clear #3 player in the world.

Can Federer, who is currently 33 years of age, win his next two matches to take down the US Open? It will certainly be compelling drama and I can't wait to see it unfold.
