On March 3rd, 2013, Brian Stann will square off against Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva in the main event of UFC on Fuel TV: Stann vs Silva.

This is obviously a very big fight for both men, but the match holds a special significance for Wanderlei Silva, as the card will be taking place in Japan. Silva made a name for himself in PRIDE, and fought in front of Japanese fans many times. You have to think that there is nothing that Silva wants more than to score another win in front of the Japanese fans.

The fight between Stann and Silva has practically no significance on the Light Heavyweight title picture. Having said that, it should be a very fun fight nonetheless.

Wanderlei Silva heads into this fight with a 2-4 record in his last six fights. Silva's most recent fight was a unanimous decision loss to Rich Franklin at UFC 147 in June of 2012. Silva's two wins over his last six fights have come over Cung Le (UFC 139) and Michael Bisping (UFC 110).

Brian Stann has gone 1-2 in his last three fights, dropping fights to Michael Bisping and Chael Sonnen, while scoring a victory over Alessio Sakara. Brian Stann has a record of 6-4 since making his debut with the UFC back in April of 2009.
