Canucks vs Sharks January 27th Betting Odds

Published on January 27th, 2013 3:45 pm EST
The Vancouver Canucks will travel to San Jose to do battle against the Sharks tonight in one of the biggest games of this young season.

The San Jose Sharks have gotten off to a flawless 4-0-0 start so far this season, and they have been led by Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton. Both players have 11 points in just four games, and Marleau already has an eye-popping eight goals to start the campaign. The Sharks have a +12 goal differential after the first four games of the season, which is the best in the league.

After getting off to a slow start (as they usually do), the Canucks have seemingly turned things around, winning their last two games in a row. After a shaky start to the season against Anaheim, Cory Schneider has squashed any potential "goaltending controversy" by posting two strong starts in a row, including a 5-0 shutout win in Anaheim on Friday night. The Canucks are currently battling through some injuries issues right now, as both Ryan Kesler and David Booth are out due to injury. The Canucks have found some unexpected scoring so far this year, as both Mason Raymond and Zack Kassian have outperformed expectations so far.

Antti Niemi and Cory Schneider are expected to get the starts tonight.
