Earlier today, Robert Griffin III was officially released by the Washington Redskins.

RGIII, who won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award in 2012, was originally hyped as the NFL's next big thing. A knee injury ended up derailing RGIII's momentum and his career was never the same. Following the emergence of Kirk Cousins last season, RGIII found himself firmly entrenched on the Redskins' bench and eventually out the door altogether.

There is no doubt that RGIII possesses a tremendous amount of talent, which is why there are a number of teams who will likely be angling for his services. RGIII likely isn't going to cost too much money, which makes him a great risk/reward proposition for any number of NFL teams.

According to bookmaker Top Bet, there are nine teams that have a realistic chance of landing RGIII for next season.

According to the sports book, the Dallas Cowboys (+160) and Houston Texans (+190) are the favorites to land his services. The Texans possess a very good team (including DeAndre Hopkins) that still managed to make the playoffs last season despite subpar quarterbacking. The Dallas Cowboys, on the other hand, have Tony Romo as their starting QB, though they need to start looking ahead to the future as Romo is aging and has had injury issues over the past couple of years.

Other teams that may be interested in RGII and their current odds to land him include:

St. Louis Rams, +400
Philadelphia Eagles, +1200
San Francisco 49ers, +700
Cleveland Browns, +1000
Miami Dolphins, +2500
New York Jets, +2500
Chicago Bears, +2000

In addition, the sports book puts the odds of RGIII joining the CFL at +2500.
