Novak Djokovic To Play Rafael Nadal on Wednesday

Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams are currently the two clear favourites to win the Men's and Women's French Open Singles titles, respectively.

Novak Djokovic faces an interesting test on Wednesday when he battles Rafael Nadal in the quarter-finals. In years past, Rafael Nadal would be the favourite to win, as he is phenomenal on the clay courts of Rolland-Garros, but he has been suffering from injuries for a long while and is the distinct underdog against Djokovic.

Djokovic's biggest potential threat, Roger Federer, fell to Stanislas Wawrinka on Tuesday in straight sets and will not be attempting to knock off Djokovic in the finals.

This leaves Djokovic without much in the way of potential threats and this is evidenced in the current outright betting odds on the Men's side:

Novak Djokovic, 4/5
Rafael Nadal, 7/2
Stanislas Wawrinka, 5
Andy Murray, 9
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, 14
David Ferrer, 33

On the women's side, all signs point to Serena Williams winning as the next highest ranked player that is still alive in the tournament is #7 Ana Ivanovic. Williams' draw is looking to be extremely weak and it is hard to imagine her not getting to at least the finals.

Here are the current outright odds on the women's side:

Serena Williams, 8/13
Lucie Safarova, 5
Ana Ivanovic, 5
Timea Bacsinszky, 10
Sara Errani, 20
Alison Van Uytvanck, 50

As you can see, Serena Williams is the clear favourite to win.

Most expected Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams to win before the French Open got underway and nothing has happened that would change that so far.

Will the world's top two players add more trophies to their collections or will somebody pull out the upset?
