Toronto visits New Jersey in the first of four regular season games this Friday. Last season the Maple Leafs won three out of their four with the Devils. A 6-5 shootout on October 29th in New Jersey started Toronto’s lead, and a 3-2 shootout on December 16th at the Air Canada Centre continued it. Then New Jersey fought back on the road with a 3-2 overtime win on March 3rd, but was unable to tie the series when Toronto returned the loss on home ice with a 4-1 win in Newark.
