The interim Bantamweight title will be on the line on Saturday night as Michael McDonald takes on Renan Barao.

Renan do Nascimento Mota Pegado, aka Renan Barao, claimed the interim Bantamweight title when he defeated Urijah Faber at UFC 149. The need for an interim Bantamweight title surfaced after Bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz was sidelined with multiple injuries to his ACL.

Renan Barao currently has a professional record of 29-1-1 and is in the midst of a long winning streak. As a matter of fact, Barao's only loss came in the very first fight of his career, all the way back in April of 2005. In addition to Faber, Barao has also recently beaten Scott Jorgensen, Brad Pickett, Cole Escovedo and Chris Cariaso.

Michael McDonald, on the other hand, has earned his shot at the interim title by winning his last eight fights in a row, including victories over Miguel Torres, Alex Soto and Chris Cariaso. McDonald currently has a record of 15-1-0, with nine of his victories coming via knockout and 4 coming via submission. McDonald, who has a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, is a finisher.

Renan Barao is a favorite to beat Michael McDonald on Saturday night.

Michael McDonald, +250
Renan Barao, -333

These odds mean that a successful $100 wager on McDonald would return $250, while a successful $333 bet on Barao would return $100.

Both fighters have made weight, and both fighters will enter this fight on big winning streaks.

Is McDonald not getting enough respect here with a +250 line, or is the value in betting on the current interim champion, Renan Barao?
