Roma, CSKA Moscow Both Have Better Odds Than Man City

When the Champions League Group Stage draws were announced, many people thought that Group E would be a two horse battle between Bayern Munich and Man City.

Bayern Munich has certainly held up their end of the bargain so far, compiling a 4-0-0 record over their first four games of Group Stage play for a total of 12 points. The notoriously stingy Bayern Munich defense has allowed just one goal so far in Group Stage play and look practically invincible.

The other three teams in the group are left to fight for the remaining spot. Here are the current standings as of this moment:

Bayern Munich, 12 points
AS Roma, 4 points
CSKA Moscow, 4 points
Man City, 2 points

Man City, one of the world's most powerful clubs, has compiled a miserly two points over its first four games of Group Stage play. Things hit rock bottom for the club this week when they dropped a crucial match to CSKA Moscow.

There is still hope for Man City, though the odds are certainly against them. Here are the current odds to qualify from Group E (excluding Bayern Munich):

Roma, 1.53
CSKA Moscow, 4.00
Man City, 5.50

According to these odds, Man City has just a 18.18% chance of securing the second spot in Group E. Roma is in the driver's seat right now, as they have a 65.36% chance of making it through to the next stage.

Man City's journey does not get any easier as they are next set to take on Bayern Munich at home in late November.

It's safe to say that Man City needs a strong result in that game or else their Champions League hopes will be dashed.
