The highly improbable final of the CONCACAF Gold Cup will see Jamaica square off against Mexico. The game will be hosted at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States.

Jamaica advanced to the finals after notching a very unexpected victory over the United States in the semi-finals. Most had the United States pegged as the favourites to win the tournament - that was until disaster struck and they were dispatched by the Jamaicans in the semi-finals. Jamaica won the contest 2-1 to become the first ever Caribbean nation to advance to the finals.

Mexico, on the other hand, advanced to the finals after defeating Panama 2-1. The game was completely marred in controversy, however, as Mexico was awarded two late penalty kicks that had soccer fans across the world up in arms.
