Jacksonville Jaguars vs Denver Broncos Spread October 13th, 2013

A mismatch of historical proportions will occur later today when the Jacksonville Jaguars travel to Denver to take on the Broncos.

The Denver Broncos have been unstoppable to start the year, building up a 5-0 record while destroying the likes of the Baltimore Ravens and Oakland Raiders. Peyton Manning has been nearly invincible, lobbing up TD after TD to his diverse array of offensive threats. There are already rumblings of a possible perfect regular season for the Broncos.

The Jaguars, on the other hand, have been terrible to start the season. They are currently 0-5, and there is talk that their team may just be bad enough to go the entire season without notching a victory. The Jaguars' offensive attack has been particularly weak so far this season.

This has all of the makings of a laugher. The Broncos are currently 26.5 point favorites to win, which is one of the highest spreads to ever been seen in a regular season NFL games.

Here are the current betting odds:

Jacksonville Jaguars, +26.5, -115
Denver Broncos, -26.5, -105

Here are the odds to win the game straight up, aka the "money line":

Jacksonville, +1700
Denver, -8000

So, if you wanted to take Denver to win straight up and wanted to have the chance of winning $100 back, you would need to wager a total of $8000 on the Broncos!

Here is the over/under line for the game:

Over 52 points, -110
Under 52 points, -110

This could be a tricky game to handicap. You have to think that the Broncos will be looking to run up the score early so that they will be able to pull their best players, namely Peyton Manning, out of the game early. If things go as expected in this contest, don't be surprised to see the Broncos trying to pull Manning out of the game shortly after halftime.

Will the Broncos be able to cover this monstrous spread, or will the Jags be able to keep it close?
