HOW TO BET ON MMA AND UFC

So the big UFC event is coming up this weekend on PPV.

You are planning on having all of your friends over, however, you want to make things a little bit more interesting and actually put some money down on the event. One of the competitors in the main event is heavily favored to win, but you have a good feeling about the guy that he is fighting and think that he has a good shot of winning and shocking the world.

So you want to put some money down on the fight, but how do you do it?

The first thing that you need to do is head over to Bodog by clicking on the picture below:

Signing up for an account is a snap, and you should be ready to wager within five minutes. Bodog offers great odds, quick payouts and superior customer service. There is a reason why there are one of the biggest sportsbooks around.

The next thing that you need to know is how the odds work.

Let's say that Matt Hughes is fighting Georges St. Pierre. The odds for this fight look like this:

Georges St. Pierre, -260
Matt Hughes, +240

This means that St. Pierre is the heavy favorite in the fight.

For every 260 dollars that you wager on St. Pierre, you would win $100 back (as well as your original bet), if St. Pierre wins.

With Hughes, for every $100 that you bet, you would win $240 back (as well as your original bet.)

With UFC / MMA fights, you can also bet on the Over / Under as well. Let's say that the Over / Under line is set at 1 1/2. The Over is currently paying out -110, and the Under is currently paying out -110.

This means that if you believe that the fight will last over 1 1/2 rounds, then you would bet the Over. If you believe that the fight will last less than 1 1/2 rounds, then you would bet the Under. For both the Over and the Under, for every $110 that you bet, you would win $100 (plus your original wager back) if you are correct.

Wagering a few dollars on the fight always makes the night a little more enjoyable and interesting. There is nothing better than seeing your favorite UFC or MMA fight whup ass and win a few dollars for yourself at the same time.
