Native River Currently Favoured To Win Saturday's Hennessy Gold Cup

The Hennessy Gold Cup, which is set to take place at the Newbury Racecourse in Newbury, England, will be run on Saturday, November 26th.

The steeplechase race, which is run over a distance of 5,331 meters, is open to horses aged four years or older. The race, which started back in 1957, will see the horses jump 21 hurdles en route to their attempted victories.

The total purse for the race was £200,000 in 2015, with the eventual winner receiving £113,900.

Smad Place, which was owned by Alan King and ridden by Wayne Hutchinson, is the race's defending champion.
