Germany is playing against Mexico in the 2017 Confederations Cup. The tournament is taking place in Russia. The 2017 Confederations Cup, which is considered a tune-up for next summer's World Cup, is currently taking place in Russia.

As of this moment, four teams - Germany, Chile, Mexico and Portugal - remain in the tournament. Portugal and Chile will be battling in one semi-final match, while Germany and Mexico will be battling in the other.

As we have mentioned before, Germany, Portugal and Chile have virtually identical odds of winning the tournament. Portugal and Chile will have a bit of a harder road to the finals, however, as Germany should be able to get past Mexico in the semi-final round, while Portugal vs Chile is considered to be more of a toss-up.

Here are the current odds for Germany v Mexico, which is slated to take place on June 29th:

Germany, 2.10
Draw, 3.40
Mexico, 3.60

The odds to qualify for the finals should that Germany is the clear favourite to win on Thursday:

Germany, 1.50
Mexico, 2.50

The over/under line for this game is set at 2.5 goals:

Over 2.5 Goals, 1.85
Under 2.5 Goals, 1.95

Finally, will both teams score?

Yes, 1.70
No, 2.05

The World Cup is literally just months away, which means that favourites such as Portugal and Germany are putting in their preparations for next summer's momental event.

All of the teams in this event are taking things very seriously, as it provides an opportunity to prepare for next summer's tournament. Cristiano Ronaldo, for instance, could easily justify taking this tournament off, given the amount of football that he has played as of late, though he is in Russia and is performing at a high level.

In short - this week's semi-final matches should both be fantastic, as everybody seems to be dialled in and intent on winning.
