Canelo Alvarez vs Floyd Mayweather Betting Odds

"I chose my opponent for September 14th and it's Canelo Alvarez. I'm giving the fans what they want. It will be at the MGM Grand."
This is THE fight that fight fans wanted to see. There was some doubt as to whether Saul "Canelo" Alvarez vs Floyd Mayweather would actually be put together, but the two sides agreed to terms and the fight is officially going to take place on September 14th in Las Vegas.
Given the fact that Floyd Mayweather is the biggest name in boxing, and also given the fact that Alvarez has a massive following amongst the Latino population, this should be one of the biggest boxing PPVs of all time.

Here are the early odds for Mayweather/Alvarez:
Floyd Mayweather, -250
Canelo Alvarez, +210
These odds mean that you would need to bet $250 on Mayweather in order to win $100 in profit back, while a successful $100 bet on Alvarez would give you a total profit of $210.
In other words, Mayweather is the favorite heading into the September fight.
