Florida Gators Currently +220 To Win NCAA Men's Basketball Title

The NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, aka "March Madness", has been whittled down from 68 teams to just 8 - Florida, Dayton, Michigan State, Connecticut, Arizona, Wisconsin, Kentucky and Michigan.

Of the eight teams remaining, two are #1 seeds in their conference (Florida, Arizona), while two of the pre-tournament "dark horse" favorites are still alive (Michigan State, Kentucky). Two #1 seeds have fallen, while the defending champions (Louisville) have also been eliminated.

Florida seems to be the popular choice to win, but they will have to face the Cinderella story of the tournament, Dayton, in the "Elite Eight" later today. While Florida is favored to win, Dayton has the type of runaway momentum right now that can be hard to stop, even for a #1 ranked team.

Here are the "Elite Eight" games that are set for this weekend:

#1 Florida vs #11 Dayton
#4 Michigan State vs #7 Connecticut
#1 Arizona vs #2 Wisconsin
#8 Kentucky vs #2 Michigan

Here are the current betting odds for each team to win the tournament:

Florida Gators, +220
Arizona Wildcats, +350
Michigan State Spartans, +350
Kentucky Wildcats, +700
Michigan Wolverines, +800
Wisconsin Badgers, +1200
Connecticut Huskies, +1400
Dayton Flyers, +3300

So, a successful $100 wager on Florida would yield a total profit of $220, while a successful wager on Dayton would yield a total profit of $3,200.
