Venue – American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas
The Suns visit the Mavs for the third and final game of the season series, and will be looking to break the 1-1 tie with a win. Phoenix was forced to swallow a 102-101 loss on December 8th in Dallas, but was quick to respond with a 112-106 win at home on January 28th. Last season it was the Mavericks who proved superior, winning three times in the four-game series. We’ll soon see if they can do it again or if this year’s season series belongs to the Suns.
Established in 1968 as the Phoenix Suns and an NBA franchise from the beginning, the visiting team won its 6th division championship in 2007 and its 2nd conference championship in 1993, and is working hard for its third opportunity to top the league. Phoenix has made it to the playoffs 28 times, most recently in 2007 when five games against the San Antonio Spurs brought an end to its postseason in the conference quarterfinals.
