Santos vs Rousey Betting Odds

One of the "mega" fights that the UFC will likely be offering its fans in 2013 is Christiane "Cyborg" Santos vs Ronda Rousey.

This is the "money" fight for WMMA, but for a while it didn't appear likely to happen. Santos, who has been serving out a suspension, said that she couldn't make 135 pounds, and Rousey said that she wouldn't be moving up to 145 pounds. Understandable, as Rousey is currently the 135 pound champion and has 3-4 viable fights at that weight.

Well it appears as though Santos has had a change of heart, likely due to the amount of money that would come her way if she took on Rousey. In a recent interview, "Cyborg" said that she would be coming down in weight to face Rousey, but that she couldn't make the weight immediately.

In the interim, UFC President Dana White has announced that Ronda Rousey will be making her first UFC title defense against Liz Carmouche in the main event of UFC 157.

Rousey is expected to beat Carmouche handily, and a win would very likely set up a Santos/Rousey fight in the summer/fall of 2013.

So who has the edge in a Rousey/Santos fight? Let's take a look at the odds as of this moment:

"Cyborg" Santos, +130
Ronda Rousey, -160

These numbers mean that Rousey is a small favorite to win - a $160 wager on Rousey would return $100 in total profit, while a $100 wager on Santos would return a profit of $130 if she managed to win.
