One of the most surprising results of the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals was FC Porto's 3-1 home victory over Bayern Munich.

While Bayern Munich still has a very good chance of advancing (they will be playing tomorrow's game at home), they have certainly dug themselves a bit of a hole that will have their supporters nervously chewing their finger nails on Tuesday.

While Bayern Munich is the clear favourite to win on Tuesday (they are currently listed at 1.33 to win, while Porto is listed at 8.50), they will need to do some work in order to advance to the next round. The one positive for Bayern Munich is the fact that they were able to muster an away goal last week.

Here are the odds for either team to advance to the next round of Champions League:

Bayern Munich, 1.83
FC Porto, 1.83

These odds mean that both teams have a 54.64% chance of advancing to the next round.

Complicating matters for Bayern Munich on Tuesday will be the fact that they will be without players such as Arjen Robben, David Alaba and Mehdi Benatia.

You can safely assume that FC Porto will be assuming a defensive posture in order to prevent the high-powered Bayern Munich side from scoring at least two goals. Bayern Munich, on the other hand, will be pulling out all of the stops to ensure a victory in front of their home crowd. Will Bayern Munich's aggressive lead to some prosperous attacks in the other direction? Will FC Porto be able to notch the extremely impressive victory to move on to the next round, or will Bayern Munich exert their will to claim victory on their home soil?
