King's Picks for Tonights Baseball Matchups

Published on August 24th, 2011

Sport Kings baseball picks - IllustrationBaseball is on tonight again as is every night and here are some picks for you to play with made by the King himself:

Milwaukee at Pittsburg should be a one sided affair in favor of the Milwaukee Brewers who send Shaun Marcum (11-3; 3.40 ERA) to the mound. Marcum has dominated the Pittsburg Pirates lately and thatís likely to continue as the Pirates send a rookie Aaron Thompson for his major league debut to the mound. Bookies are giving a 1,6 on a Brewers win so thatís looking like a pretty nice offering today.

Boston Red Sox and Texas Rangers continue their series in Arlington with two pretty solid pitchers taking the mound, Beckett and Harrison. And although Harrison has struggled a bit of late, look for tonightís game to be a low scoring affair. Bookies are offering a -9,5+ on runs scored, so under 9 total runs scored tonight seems to be the way to go on this one. Big Papi is returning tonight, letís hope he doesnít find his groove just yet.

New York Yankees should look to avenge the last night loss to the Aís (the only game king missed last night) and having CC Sabathia on the mound should make this task somewhat easier to accomplish. CC is 17- 7 with an 2.96 ERA and should be in control tonight for his 18th win of the season.

Another safe bet of the night should be with the L.A. Angels who send Jered Weaver who has traditionally done well against the Chicago White Sox going 5-2 with an 1.81 ERA in eight career starts. The bookies are paying 1,45 to a dollar for Angels win tonight, and we will gladly take it.
